Why We Chose the Name Anjuna

The name Anjuna connects our history with the larger idea that healing knowledge has never belonged entirely to one culture, discipline, or nation. Inspired by Anjuna Beach in Goa, India, the name evokes a region shaped by centuries of cultural exchange and reflects the broader dialogue among the great healing and philosophical traditions of Asia. Chinese medicine, Ayurveda, Daoist thought, and other traditional systems developed within distinct cultures, yet each reflects humanity’s enduring effort to understand health, balance, suffering, recovery, and the conditions that allow people to thrive. 

The name first entered our story through the music and global community surrounding Above & Beyond, Anjunabeats, and Anjunadeep. What began as a personal inspiration came to represent something larger: connection across borders, shared human experience, and the restorative power of bringing people together.  

Anjuna Health Partners retains the name because those ideas now express something fundamental about who we are. We seek knowledge wherever it can improve human health, honor the traditions from which that knowledge comes, and build bridges between traditional medicine, modern science, technology, and deeply human care.
